Annual Joint CPD weeks - November & March

Collaborate, Trust, Share, Achieve – the power of sharing practice

Twice a year CTSA organises Joint CPD weeks during which schools open their doors to colleagues from across the Partnership to share aspects of their current practice. This year, in events held in November and March,  approximately over 200 members of staff attended session offered by 20 member schools.

The feedback from these events is always highly positive, and bears testimony to how much staff value this cost-effective and highly relevant approach to professional development.

Dates for 2024-25 have already been set for the weeks beginning 25 November 2024 and 17 March 2025.

We very much hope that the number of schools generously offering to host sessions – and the number of staff accessing these – will be higher than ever!

Here's an offer form for you to complete.

Focus on Oracy

Oracy is the buzz word for 2024-2025 and will be a  main focus for many of you in the classroom.  We are delighted to offer a brand new course, written and delivered by Jonathan Bond, 'Developing Oracy in the Primary School.

The programme will run across three half-day sessions and cover:

  • Creating an oracy classroom
  • Developing everyday talk and group talk
  • Developing public speaking and drama

A further stand alone session on 'Debating in KS2' will work alongside this programme, if teachers want to explore this topic further.

More information can be found here or on the CPD Directory Tab on the Attain website.
